SJ :
John trying to stall to keep from charging the ring because he didn't want the Halogram gone. Halogram being able to say what real Hal couldn't. This can't be the last time we see them together. 😭

In brightest day. In darkness night. I’ll embrace my fear. I’ll do what’s right. I choose this ring. I choose this fight. In service to this lanterns light. Jon’s oath sounded like a vow to Hal Jordan.

I wish I loved this finale as much as I enjoyed the rest of the series. My beef is with the structure of the episode maybe? It felt a little "here, damn" and the tension peaked before the Kerry conversation so we just sorta end on a flaccid Nature vs Nurture chat. I will be seated for more, and definitely need Hal around. Don't care what the plans were, he really overperformed expectations and I hope it shifts direction.

My major cope in season 2 is that Sinestro actually does bring Hal back to life, but he’s corrupted by the fear planet. No way they just lay all that out there to not pick it up at a later time.

I think Hal will be back as John's manifestation, that's why they didn't show any manifestation after he charged the ring. Leaves that up in the air. Season 2 is going to explore his ring losing power slowly over recharges because he doesn't have enough fear with the will power, and that lantern slowly turning it yellow with each recharge

I think season 2 is gonna be sinestro bringing hal back to life, but he’ll be corrupted and do the parallax stuff by the end of the season… leading to season 3 where john is the mentor and kyle rayner is the rookie

That boy better just enjoy the simple life of playing football and having a family. Cuz if he starts looking towards politics John is gonna need to shut that down fast 💀

Not surprised by the twists, especially the step of the kid confessing to the mom reveal, but I really liked the execution. I love John so much. Also I liked how they after the episode said the lanterns are cops, but John’s a superhero 🥺
