While the creed does protect human freedom, what happens when that freedom causes atrocities, greed, and just pure anarchy. What i loved about AC3/Rogue is that you see the Templars perspective in depth on why they do what they do. Especially with that line belittling the New American Republic, and hes not wrong. Humans are nothing but mindless animals that need coralling, and more than often want to be coralled for their "safety"
