I doubt anyone will see this but thank god there are some people who actually enjoyed the ending. This show is one of my favorite shows I’ve ever watched. People complain that it’s corny or that it wasn’t an action packed show but it wasn’t supposed to be. God damn I loved it.

If they introduced this story with John creating his own oath in the comics first people would call it badass. If half the shit that has been introduced in the comics got introduced via live action instead, people would shit on it. People literally just hating on it because it’s in a different medium. This was good story telling, and a good twist giving him his own path showing that he’s his own man and not controlled by the system that made him.

The way John says “this lanterns light” instead of “green lanterns light” makes me think he isn’t just tapping into his willpower but also that fear that might be inside of that Lantern and himself

I think people are missing the point of Lanterns. Despite its title, the show is ultimately about John Stewart: who he is, what shaped him, and his journey to becoming Green Lantern. His character development is incredible, and once you see the series as laying the groundwork for his role in Man of Tomorrow, you appreciate just how strong the writing is. I understand why people are upset that Hal Jordan isn’t coming back to life, but this story is about passing the torch. John is the Green Lantern whose story the DCU is moving forward with. The whole point is that someone new is taking on the mantle and he’s going to do things differently.

i love that he's basically alan scott not green lantern not yellow lantern just a lantern with his own thing also the new oath is fire for his character. the fact his whole life was been him trying to follow a code just for him to have his own path and break outta the box he almost got stuck in. cant wait to see his suit in the next thing he's in
