Technically a blue lantern ring could override Noah’s man hunter programming. Noah talked about how much he hoped to be better. A blue ring is also the only ring that can “cure” a red lantern of their rage and can satiate the hunger of an orange ring.

i feel like people are stuck on the fact it didn’t set up some big multi movie story arc, or connections to the rest of the universe from the comics. It finished its story, it was a character story about the characters and their growth. It was perfect. Not every piece of media has to have a Thanos “fine i’ll do it myself” moment

I have zero doubt that Sinestro and John’s stories are very much just getting started. They wouldn’t set up Sinestro and the idea of reviving Hal for no reason. I just hope they don’t wait long to do it, I want to see Hal and John’s story continue.

@ilaybaranes: I think people are missing the point of Lanterns. Despite its title, the show is ultimately about John Stewart: who he is, what shaped him, and his journey to becoming Green Lantern. His character development is incredible, and once you see the series as laying the groundwork for his role in Man of Tomorrow, you appreciate just how strong the writing is. I understand why people are upset that Hal Jordan isn’t coming back to life, but this story is about passing the torch. John is the Green Lantern whose story the DCU is moving forward with. The whole point is that someone new is taking on the mantle and he’s going to do things differently.

The Hal that confessed his affection for John wasn’t the Hal that died. So if Hal gets resurrected, he’ll likely still be a bitter old man who thinks the whole world is against him. Would like to see how that plays out.
