As a vet tech, look for a doctor owned vet instead of company, doctor owned vets are wayy cheaper and actually care for your pets rather than greedy corp!!

Hearing dogs cry in pain is so heartbreaking! For now I’d recommend you limit Cleo’s playing time with botas and avoid having her jump up and down from furniture

oh no, just make sure she doesn’t jump anywhere. i guess that happened to my dog too cus she’s always jumping up from couches. anyways, get her some vitamin for her bones, for joints! she’ll get better

No way $1500. My dog was limping and took him in they charged me almost maybe $100 for the visit and pain meds

as a vet tech, luxating patella’s are normal for small breeds. my dog had it and she would limp for a while until she popped it back in. no surgery needed. prayers for cleo 🐾🤍

Patella luxation is common in small breeds you can def do surgery still if you want, but yea it will pop in and out it will just be continued meds and strict restrictions like stairs , etc. but yea having a pet is a luxury! Def not cheap, it might seem like we don’t do anything. But we are still doing medicine just like humans do.

Very common with smaller dogs, especially that breed. Just try to keep him chill for a few days, no jumping on and off no excessive running.

When a dog comes in with a suspected broken leg and no medical history here is what has to happen. 1. A full physical exam to check for shock or other injuries. 2. X rays to confirm if it is a fracture, what type, and how to treat it. 3. Bloodwork to make sure kidneys and liver can handle pain meds or sedation safely if needed. 4. Then medication for pain and inflammation. That is not doing nothing, that is standard of care to make your dog feel better and don’t allow rough play moving forward.
