also fun fact the Bible never says anything against lgbtq. the quote "a man must never lay in a bed with another man" it's actually wrong, it was rewritten over time in history and sometimes people wouldn't write word for word. the original quote is "a man but never lay with a boy" meaning pedophilia not gayness.

What I genuinely do not understand is the fact that you can chose what things you believe in the bible. So if you think that it is all written by god, should not everything be listened to? And if not how do you chose what to believe and what not to believe? If it has to do with what is reasonable then who decides that? I am not religious by the way

the problem is most people only bring up and will call you out for sins that are against what they believe, they are nit-picky about what they think are actual sins beyond the bible saying all sins are equal in his eyes. wearing mixed fabric, ignoring the needy (homeless), prioritising one’s wealth, tattoo’s, interest on loans, are all sins which are overlooked but they will only go against what they personally don’t like

I saw a live where a lady was reading off bible verses and someone told her to read one that said "A woman must cover her head and therefore if she does not then she must shave her head". She promptly said she isnt sure she likes that verse after she read it 😂😂😂
