@itscydne: Day 9 of 10 of building a photography side hustle from scratch! EDITING DAY I am not a great photo editor. I have an eye for it, and I am ORGANIZED and EFFICIENT. That system is what gets 40 to 50 images out the door without eating my whole weekend, which matters a lot when you are doing this around a 9 to 5 and two kids. Two apps, three passes. GET ORGANIZED FIRST. Folders, naming, everything where it belongs. Everyone skips this and pays for it later when they cannot find a gallery from four months ago, or their storage is full and they have no idea which galleries are already backed up. THE ROUGH CULL. Everything runs through Aftershoot. It flags duplicates, blinks and misses, and gets me from hundreds of frames to something workable in minutes. Culling by hand is the biggest time sink in this business and I refuse to do it. THREE PASSES IN LIGHTROOM.
Pass one is light. Exposure and my preset across every image. Nothing else.
Pass two is structure. Cropping, straightening, composition.
Pass three is details. Object removal, AI tools, distracting stuff in the background. The order matters. Most people edit one photo start to finish, then open the next and start over. That is where hours disappear. Batch by task instead of by image and your brain stays in one mode. Same project management brain I use at my day job, just pointed at Lightroom. You do not need to be a great editor to make money at this. You need a repeatable process. Tomorrow is Day 10, the last one, and it is YOURS. Drop your questions below and I will answer whatever hang ups you have and how I handle them! #photographysidehustle #sidehustleformoms #workingmomlife #howtostartaphotographybusiness #lightroomediting
