I was never spanked and I would never think about talking back to a parent or teacher. Where do kids learn to tell a parent to shut up?

One thing I never heard my mother say was just wait until your daddy gets home, she was the disciplinarian. She could make us start wailing just by raising an eyebrow.

Why is it funny? You laugh about something you're trying to discipline a child , for what's the point in disciplining em , if you're going to laugh about it. I guess this has got to do with gentle parenting. We never did that when we grew up, especially telling our parents to shut up. Oh no, we would never tell our mom our dad to shut up if it did. If we did, it would be the last time. And mostly, it would not have been funny.

I was 13 and one time I called my Mom a b*tch. She used my braces like a cheese grater on that bar of Irish Spring. To this day, I cannot stand the smell of that soap.
