If you bought it then it’s not your works it’s yours. If you still have the receipt for it take a picture of both send it to hr with information that they make you fill out a paper to get something from work

to sum up the story, she bought a label Maker 2 years ago, she then took it home because of a move of the company. then she got in trouble was told to bring it back. she then sent the receipt to HR saying this is my property. her manager was then like it's a shared resource because you left it here blah blah blah blah, she then sent out a email to everybody saying if something of yours is left here you might want to take it before the move. then HR had a meeting with everybody saying hey this is inappropriate and everybody's like the manager took the coffee maker home and didn't bring it back for months. then HR went to MC's desk and was like it won't be put in your file and she's like send me an email about that. the supply closet never got filled back up they are still working on filling it up by the end of the story.

I used my own multi-port plug at a previous job and when I left I took it with me. a few days later my friend (ex coworker) texted me stating that another person said I stole the walkie charger. the boss shot that down right away stating that I took what was mine. lol
