@prostudiobyelsa: Beginner beauty professionals: 🛑 stop calling your model appointments "free services." Your time, products, education and attention still have value. A model appointment allows you to refine your technique and build your portfolio while offering the service at a special model rate. A model booking fee should be paid prior to the appointment to secure both your time and theirs. Preparation begins before the model arrives-consultation, supplies, sanitation, setup and reserved appointment time are all part of the service. That time has value. 💲 Always communicate clearly before booking: • The model rate and booking fee • When the booking fee is due • The expected appointment time • The technique or service you're working on • That photos or videos will be taken • A signed model consent and photo/video release form. The signed forms document permission and expectations while helping protect both you and your model. A photo/video release should accompany—not replace-your regular service consent and liability forms. And remember: your model is still your client. Take pride in your professional image. Prepare a clean and organized setup, follow proper sanitation practices, and provide the same care and effort you would give to a full-price service. Never do half the work because the service is offered at a model rate. Every appointment represents you and your brand. The experience you provide is how you continue building trust, confidence and professionalism. Save this for your next model call and share it with a beauty professional who is just getting started. 📍Santa Clarita, CA #BeautyProfessional #BeautyEducation #ProStudioBeautyAcade
