2025 Subaru Crosstrek :
it's genuinely SO upsetting how boring and plain all car seats and strollers and pack & plays are nowadays. it's ALL JUST black or gray. IF there are colored options it's like muted blue or muted pink, maybe beige. no fun colors or patterns anymore.

so I was attempting to do some helpful research because in my mids it sounded smart but goodly called me a moron for my idea so to put into simple explanation no you cant just swap the old straps for new straps because apparently the expiration date ist for the straps on the carseat (i thought it was because they just ear down and the material becomes brittle) turns out the plastic deteriorates i have 3 toddlers and had know idea that was the reason (the carsears i have are still in date and no i haven't changed the straps) I was just curious on how the carseat could still be usable because ik the buckles them selves are illegal now but if you update the straps it could work but no BUT YOU CAN get a new graco seat and take the carseat cover and hood and put thoes on the new seat 😀 so you can still have the cute fabric just not the plastic and straps

Beige mom really ruined the color in stroller and car seats. I saw a picture of a purple Nuna and was so mad that they don’t make those colors anymore
