My wife has post partum depression very hard. But I knew what I had to do. Got 2 nannies, 2 cleaning ladies she got a lot of time for herself and increased real quality and love time with our baby. After 1 month she was totally normal. I learn it from her mom I thin it is genetics

I was in labor for 73 HOURS with my first at 18. After I had my c section everyone seemed so happy, I was so traumatized & dissociated. She started crying & I said please get that god damn baby away from me 😂 a couple hours later I was obsessed with her and didn’t put her down, didn’t sleep because I was just up staring at her in love. It’s such a crazy feeling

I felt like this with my first pregnancy I didn’t really feel anything while I was pregnant for my baby like I cared about her but I didn’t feel in love with her 🥹 depression was definitely a factor for sure I was in a abusive relationship and I felt like I had to stay for my baby and I didn’t feel like myself it felt like my baby infiltrated my body if that makes sense and once she was born I didn’t feel anything until I held her in my arms for the first time I felt all the love I didn’t feel my whole pregnancy 🩷

They put my daughter on my chest and there was no click that she was mine. I also only cried because i was relieved i was done pushing. I was so out of it. 🙂 But I care deeply for her and don’t want anyone touching her ☝🏻

There are horror stories but even when everything wasn’t going to plan, the hospitals interventions were the worst part. The c section wasn’t bad and I was absolutely in love with my son when I saw him for the first time. Some people, like me, have a lovely pregnancy and birth. It’s not fake

Honestly sometimes for some people the feelings never come. unfortunately i also felt nothing but it never changed i ended up giving her to my mother for her safety and wellbeing

You're not horrible for feeling that way. Most people tend to romanticize pregnancy when in reality it can be painful, traumatic, tiring, and you may feel nauseous, weak, very emotional or numb. Your mental health matters and your feelings are valid
