It’s been a few days since I met Blue Boy, and he still hasn’t left my mind. He is visibly heartbroken and doesn’t do great in his kennel. He is so scared, and it almost feels like he’s starting to lose hope of ever being chosen. Blue Boy isn’t the kind of dog that has people out the door waiting to adopt him. He’s just another pitbull in another overcrowded shelter. He’s just another urgent dog in need of help that you’ll see in your feed today. That’s not *actually* all he is, but let’s be honest…that’s what it feels like sometimes. I truly wasn’t expecting much from him once he was in the play yard with me. I thought he’d kind of just walk around and completely ignore me like most shy dogs. I would’ve been okay with that, but I was pleasantly surprised. He didn’t care about toys or all the new smells in the yard, he just wanted to be loved. I’m sure if you’re deep in the rescue rabbit hole, Blue Boy is just one of the many dogs you’ll see today, but he’s real and he matters. Please share him. -Blue Boy A5615301 -4 years 3 months -83 lbs -Calm dogs recommended -Cleared for euthanasia LANCASTER ANIMAL CARE CENTER; 5210 West Avenue I, Lancaster, CA 93536 • Public Hours 11am-5pm Monday thru Saturday (closed Sunday) Website: animalcare.lacounty.gov Email: DACCLancasterRescue@animalcare.lacounty.gov #shelterdog #animalshelter #cleartheshelters #foryoupage #fyp
