(1) In college I worked at a froyo place that was open pretty late in the summers. It was typically just me and another person there at a time. On this night, we had just finished up the after dinner rush and I figured it was a good opportunity to go clean the restrooms. I got my cleaning supplies together and was walking toward the restrooms when a woman walked past me and into the women’s restroom. I decided to clean the men’s while she finished up and it took me like 10-15 minutes. Well, the lights in the restrooms were motion-controlled and when I was done cleaning the men’s restroom I saw they were still on in the women’s bathroom. I figured that she was just taking a while or something and went onto another task. After about 15 minutes I decided to go check again. The lights were STILL on in there. It was really close to closing time at this point so I knocked on the restroom door and heard some shuffling and a woman’s voice say “just a minute.” I was annoyed af because I couldn’t take out the tills to count them until she left but was like “fuck it” so I went up to the front of house to chat with the other team member while they did their closing tasks up there. Since there was only one entrance/exit, the woman had to walk by us to leave. Another 5 minutes go by and nothing. I’m hella suspicious at this point that she’s on drugs or having some sort of episode so I check the women’s restroom again and I try the door this time. It’s locked and the fucking light was still on!! I knock on the door again and I’m like “ma’am, we’re closed. Is everything alright?” and this time I get no response. Idk I was lowkey panicking and imagining she was passed out on the bathroom floor or something at this point so I grabbed the master key and got the other team member to come with me and we unlock the door and go in. Lo and behold the bathroom is completely empty. We’re both in standing there in complete shock. The bathrooms are in the back of the store meaning she would have had to walk past him in the front of house and me in the back of house. There is no other exit. It’s a single fucking stall. For the rest of the closing tasks we implemented the buddy system.

I used to be a security guard for public schools. I did night watch, so at night if tour public school campuses to make sure no one was there. 99% of the time there was no one or just kids skating or something innocent like that, but one time I had an incident that scared the bejeezus out of me. We had motion alarms going off all over one of the schools we monitor so I stepped inside to investigate. This school was massive, like a half mile long and 4 stories massive. I spent the better part of 3 hours roaming the empty dark halls looking for what what setting off the motion detectors. Until I saw dust settling from the ceiling of one of the classrooms. Dust settling means there was movement in that classroom. I locked the door took down the room number and called the police. I waited outside for the police and we went in together. When I unlocked the door to the classroom the police went in and didn’t see anything. I went in to investigate as well and there weren’t any signs of a person, just that a person had been there. Then I thought of something. The ceilings were that sort of paper mache that is mass produced and easy to replace. I signaled to the cops that our visitor might be in the ceiling and they obliged, one of them stood on the desk and lifted a ceiling tile to peek his head in with his flashlight and screamed so loud I thought he got stabbed. He saw someone up there staring back at him. They got him down and arrested him. They took my statement and I had to do a fuck ton of paperwork but that was probably the scariest situation I’ve been in.

I grew up in a very small rural farming community. I mean like, my graduating class was 45 people, small. I ran into the same girl from my class in 5 states and 3 countries, on two continents over the course of 15 years.

when i was 16 i worked at my local grocery store. i would often get hit on by older men but it never bothered me very much. one day a 40 year old man asked me when i got off work. i wouldn’t tell him bc i knew better. that night when i got in my car to leave and my headlights came on he was standing directly in front of my car 100 yards away against the wood line. i quickly left. i told my manager the next day when i came in. the guy came in again and asked me for my number. i wouldn’t give it to him. he continued to come in almost everyday i worked for weeks asking for my number, asking me to go for a ride with him, a party, anything. i would always decline and i started having my manager walk me out to my car. eventually he cornered me grabbing buggies in the dark and told me if i turned him down again he wouldn’t ask me he would just take me. i started screaming and ran inside. i told my uncle and he found out who the guy was. he beat the dog shit out of him. he stopped coming in after that but he called every night asking if any sweet little girls were working. i quit after a few months and i never saw him again. i wish i could say that was the first and last weird experience ive had with customers but it wasn’t 😭

I went with my friends to smoke at one of our favorite spots in the mountains. About an hour and a half in, I started to get a really bad gut feeling. So I told my friends we were gonna leave and head back to my house. Right as I was about to leave, some dude walked into the middle of the road, holding a knife, just smiling at us. I didn’t know if I could get around him without hitting him, but my friend told me that even if I had to hit him to just get out of there. I don’t know what he was doing up there, but I do know I saw him on the news three weeks later and he was wanted for murder.

I was at the movie theater a few days ago. It was during the advertisements and I looked towards the stairs on my right to see my friend waving at me. His eyes were wide open and peeking in between the railing and the bar above it, doing that creepy finger roll wave. I followed him out and he was absolutely nowhere to be found. I texted him and he was over 2 hours away with the flu.

I came home late one night after smoking with some friends so I was lowkey stoned. I pull into my driveway and see a shadowy figure by a tree on the side of our house. This was in the 90s so I had no cell phone. I back up and go to the gas station down the street and call the sheriff who meets me at the gas station and follows me to my house to check. It scared me sober so the cop is unaware I was high. He looks around my house and finds footprints from the tree to my kitchen window and bedroom window and back to the tree. He shines his light up and finds a man hiding in our tree. He is arrested for being a peeping Tom. Scared me straight.

I remember when I was really young my mom was walking into a fitting room at the mall and I was following behind her. A man kinda hidden from a clothing rack tried to grab me and I jumped forward. I looked back and he just smiled at me as I hurried to get next to my mom. I 100% think he tried to take me and I never told anybody

I remember when I was with my ex we went way up north Michigan to an air bnb condo place huge complex. One day when her parents left and it was just me her and her other friend we were just chilling and the door lock started moving. I love hunting knives and always have bucks and all sorts of shit on my belt and jumped to the door stopping it from opening, this huge dude maybe like half a foot taller and 80 pounds plus heavier was there claiming to be a repair guy carry’s no tools at all and was dressed like he hasn’t changed in a week. He was arguing for me to let him in to fix a fucking door of all things, and only got more persistent trying to convince the two girls with me to tell me I’m being dramatic. Shit was weird as hell and when he finally left I put the big ass knife I was hiding back in its leather, dude waited in this beat up truck outside for like 2 hours on the phone before leaving and never returning. I asked the land lord in a regrettably angry tone why they wouldn’t warn us someone with keys could just walk in and there was no notifying of a door that needed fixing nor did we know of any door that was broken in the unit. They said nothing was scheduled and the only couple repair guys they had were off today, on top of that they don’t allow anyone to just enter occupied units there’s only supposed to be two sets of keys it was crazy af. Another reason I carry a firearm now instead of just a melee, that dude was huge and I was probably only 175lbs at the time

Was ding dong ditching this one house with my friends when i was younger. 30 mins later we hear helicopters and police sirens in the neighborhood and above us. Turns out the house we rang the doorbell of got robbed right when we left.

Applied for a job as a model/waitress. Sent in a pic of my face and a full body along with my measurements. Got through to the next round which was a phone interview. At some point, they asked me who I lived with. At the time it was my two young kids, my mom, and two younger siblings. They said they were looking for “girls who live alone and don’t have much family”. Didn’t get the job. Didn’t click want that was about until MUCH later so couldn’t even pass the info along to the police.

I was walking back from my buddies house freshman year in HS after smoking. dude that lived two houses down was a super weird, creepy looking dude. as im walking past his house, his front door opens, hes staring at me and says "get in here now". I just kept walking looking at him. got home and told my parents who completely down played it and didnt do anything 😭

I was paying for my parking at a kiosk in a large garage on campus, a man in a truck stopped and asked me if I needed change, I said no as I had a handful of quarters for the machine, he jumped out and started walking towards me until another man popped out of a car and said "hey" and the guy ran back to his truck and sped off so fast he left black marks on the ground

Thursday of last week I had to take my mom to her Dr appointment.. after we finished at her appointment she wanted to stop at Walmart.. I told her as we were walking inside Walmart that I had to use the bathroom and we were making out way to the back of the store to the bathrooms.. we got to the back of the store and she said for me to go ahead that she would meet me at the bathroom when she finished picking her laundry detergent and I'm walking fast cause I had to pee bad and I turn to see her still looking at detergent.. I get to the bathroom and someone is in the first stall I can see their shoes, the same shoes my mom had on but I thought nothin of it at the time, I use the bathroom and as I'm walking out the stall the door opens to the other stall and my mom walks out and it shocks me and I ask her how she beat me to the bathroom and she looks me right in the eye and said we walked in here together.. NO we did NOT I got to that bathroom before her I saw her standing at the detergent she told me go ahead she would meet me there.. this shit has bothered me since Thursday.. I keep thinking about it.. How did she get in that stall before I did? what was the purpose in that experience? and why does it bother me so much??

when I was 12 and visiting my aunt over the summer break I would stay up all night playing video games and for a solid 3 weeks at 2am an ice cream truck would pull up in front of the house, turn their music on and just sit there with it playing for about 5 minutes then would cut it and drive off slowly. no one believed me until I woke them up one time before the truck came and they experienced it for themselves.

Sleeping in a tent in the middle of nowhere. Summer. The constant buzz of the insects, etc. then all of a sudden, every sound in the forest stopped. Every bug, everything. Dead quiet. Then we hear a rustling and snotty breathing walking by our tent.
