@mpzo5: Gene Deal, Diddy's former bodyguard, shared a story about an interesting encounter involving Diddy, Suge Knight, and 2Pac during the height of the East Coast–West Coast rivalry. According to Deal, the incident happened at the House of Blues. Diddy greeted 2Pac, but Pac reportedly ignored him and returned to his phone call. Someone then encouraged Diddy to speak directly to Suge Knight, asking if there was a problem between them. Suge reportedly told Diddy that he had no problems with him, and when Diddy asked if they were good, Suge agreed. Stories like this have made some fans question what was really happening behind the scenes. While the public saw a major rivalry between the two coasts, some believe the controversy also brought attention to artists and helped boost album sales. There were also Death Row artists who reportedly wanted no part in the conflict, raising questions about whether everyone involved actually supported the rivalry. Do you think the East Coast–West Coast beef was partly fueled by publicity and business interests, or was it a genuine rivalry that went too far?
