@ibrahim_jiyah: Part 2: Continuation of this nasheed by Abd Yaghuth al Harithi, a leader from the harith clan A prominent pre-Islamic knight, chieftain, and master of the Banu al-Harith ibn Ka'b tribe (part of the larger Madhhij tribal confederation in southern Arabia / Yemen). Fearing he would mock or curse them (Banu Tamim [his captors].) with his tongue, they bound his mouth with a leather strap (nis'ah). Realizing his death was sealed, he asked them to untie his tongue so he could compose a final lament for himself, and requested a dignified end: to be given pure wine to drink until intoxicated, after which they would cut his jugular vein (al-irq al-akhal) so he would bleed out. #translation #translationlearning #nasheedislamic
