@dannie_bei: Which Claude model for which task? Same 6 coding tasks, real Claude prices. Cost per solved task: JUNIOR · Fable 5.1, max effort, for everything → $5.10 MIDDLE · picks the model by hand, effort always high → $0.75 SENIOR · cheapest model first, verify, escalate on fail → $0.45 GOAT · a router picks model + effort per task → $0.32 The router isn't magic: a cheap first step (one small model call or a few rules) reads each task and picks model + effort. Easy → Sonnet on low. Harder → Opus with more effort. Fable only when a check fails. In Claude Code: /model and /effort, or subagents with their own model and effort. Why low effort is often enough: effort buys thinking time. A clear spec does that thinking up front, so well-specified tasks often run fine on a cheaper model at low effort. Which level are you — J, M, S or G? Send this to the teammate who runs everything on max effort. Simulated workload, real prices. Not a benchmark. #ai #claudeai #llm #aiagents #claudecode
