My oldest is 4 this week and I still hate leaving him…I just prefer being with him 😂

It’s so normal to feel like that, I definitely found it easier 12m onwards with my eldest, he was eating a lot more reliably with solids and drinking water. He was still breastfed and wouldn’t actually take it from a bottle, so it was stressful when I went back to work (my mum had him 2 days a week and nursery for the other 2) but he compensated in the evenings. He has just started school and dropping him off that first day felt like I was dropping him off as a tiny baby 🥺

We did the same as you, on holiday with my mum at 6 months & spent the whole time thinking/talking about her! Now at 11 months we easily leave her for a few hours with her grandparents (when she was 7 months I ended up in hospital for a week and they had her which definitely helped even though it was out of my control!) but she starts nursery in a few weeks and that is gonna be HARD. 😭

it’s so hard to leave your babies, at any age. as a mother it’s built in us to worry!! No matter who they’re with or for how long. but mama, it is so so important to have time to yourself, and with your partner. It doesn’t make you a bad mum, I always thought it made me an awful mum for wanting to have a coffee alone or a shopping trip alone. no matter the guilt, its NORMAL to want YOU time. it’s also so important for them to learn other people’s company. you deserved that massage so much & I can assure you she was getting everything she needed & wanted and was absolutely okay 🩷🩷

It’s so hard to leave your baby with anyone but it’s lessened when you leave them with someone you trust (like your mum and dad). My little boy is 3 now and has sleepovers with his nanny and he loves it! It does get easier but you will always worry and have those “are they okay questions” but it’s also important for you, to take some time for yourself and reset 🫶🫶

I’m due end of November and In may I have three weddings over four weeks, I trust my mum a lot so I’m praying I will be okay with leaving him! Any tips for making sure he’s a confident little guy who is happy with other people other than me and dad?

My mum had my daughter at 4 weeks 🫣😂 I overthought it so much, but it was all okay! At the time I was pumping so I just took the breastmilk for the time she had her x
