There was a lovely little exhibit at the Morgan Library in nyc last year that had many of her surviving letters, fragments of an unfinished novel, first editions, etc, very cool to see in person

Jane Austen is wonderful, and it is incredible that even 200 years later, her works are still read and adapted for the screen. There is a day honored to her all over the world. Although her personal life sounds a bit sad compared to her romantic works—from a distance, of course, we don't know the whole story or why she chose not to marry—sometimes life just turns out that way. Sometimes we are simply destined to write what we will never live. I think her ability to portray universal themes through such endearing characters continues to amaze and captivate us. I bet she would be a major influencer today! ✨She would be absolutely amazing.✨ Thank you Frederick, have a lovely day!☺️

she was clever, funny, obviously a hopeless romantic, but more importantly, timeless. She understood women then and now, we've all met a Mr. Collins and a Mr. Wickham

you have probably been right about someone for years and called it good judgement. elizabeth had the same habit, and darcy's letter doesn't argue with her, it just takes away the pleasure of being right. the whole second half of the book is the bill, and most of us haven't been handed the letter yet.

Super interesting you did this summary of her life! I advise you an epistolary novel not much know titled Lady Susan she wrote when she was young and that has been published after she died, it’s very interesting!
