Getting stuck at a 1:1 risk-to-reward ratio leaves an open loop in your trading performance. You hit your profit targets, but because your stop loss is wide, a single loss wipes out your gains and forces you to tread water for weeks. Scaling your R:R to 1:4 comes down to catching the internal sweep -- the final shakeout that happens right after external liquidity is taken: The Standard Entry: Price sweeps external liquidity, forms an inversion, and you jump in immediately. You're forced to place a wide stop above the main high, capping your risk-to-reward around 1:1. The Open Loop: Early entries often get squeezed by a small counter-pullback before the real expansion starts, taking out premature stops. The Internal Sweep: Wait for price to make that quick internal pullback and sweep micro-liquidity inside the leg. This forms a fresh LTF FVG and a razor-sharp CISD. The Tight Entry: Once price closes through the internal CISD, lock in your entry. Your stop stays ultra-tight above the internal high or low while targeting the exact same HTF liquidity. Waiting for that final internal shakeout closes the loop on wide stop losses. Same direction, same target, but a drastically smaller risk footprint that transforms a 1:1 trade into a clean 1:2 or even 1:4. I put together an Internal Sweep Precision Guide showing how to spot and execute these entries. Comment "INTERNAL" below and I’ll DM it to you for free. #futurestrading #optionstrading #stocks #daytrader #investing
