@donna.nook.seals: As of late October, the adult grey seals start to make their way inland to pup (and mate) away from the sea, grey seal pup fur is not waterproof. At the end of the season, late December last year around 1,900 pups had been born at Donna Nook. Initially, you will need binoculars for the first week or so before the seals come closer onto the rookery. There is a designated viewing path which is fenced off for both the safety of the seals and visitors. The reserve is wardened. Try to avoid weekends as it gets very busy. Please respect the wildlife. Never try to touch the seals they will bite (carrying disease). It may also put the mother/pup bond at risk resulting in the mum abandoning her pup.
