Neena :
Aron was so ashamed of his dad when his business idea failed. So he wasn’t as nice and innocent as he was portrayed. He was a money hungry coward after that moment. Cal was the real good one 🥰 he worked hard and got his dads money back and was never ashamed of his family

I never liked Aron. Weak and a coward just like his father Adam. Cal was intelligent and courageous and compassionate. Just like Charles-he was misunderstood.

I think she saw Aaron was actually the bad one that was more like her. Cal was the good one.

Cal had already confessed to being similar to her. Where Aron made it clear he was more like their father. I viewed it as her trying to break that generational chain.

I think she made it as part of revenge to chal too. Because he brought the brother to see her like this. He smiled at her by this time. And she never want a man let win. By only giving it to Aron, she can hurt chal

Veronica Medina :
In the book, Aron is very religious and active in church. Cathy saw him for the first time at church as she hid in the back. That’s when she realized that Aron was the “nice one”, “angelic” and “pure” and he would need more help navigating in this nasty world.

She did it to get back at Cal. Aron wouldn’t want her “dirty” money anyway.
