The person who jumped into a relationship had mentally broken up a long time before they ended it, therefore was ready for it. The one who got a glow up was complacent and didn’t see it coming and had a wake up call.

I think its important to note that 'the glow up' is often preceded by the person hitting rock bottom, losing a ton of weight, quite a lot of crying, upset, hurt, anger and questioning urself....... THEN you start to re-build! The wrong'n will of course already be in another relationship. usually with the person they were cheating with, behind ur back, before ur break up, and living their life without a care in the World. They're also probably already eyeing up their next victim to move onto after that one!

A glow up after a break could be that person is finally at peace for the first time in years. Jumping into a relationship could also mean that person was emotionally checked out of the relationship a long time ago. So it could mean something else completely. You can’t place people into boxes and expect everyone’s break up is the same or the actions after. Life doesn’t work that way. Stop trying to stereotype people and their personal situations.

I don’t know that that actually holds weight. Frequently when people leave a marriage the person that leaves grieved the marriage for years before they actually left. I was in an incredibly abusive situation and I had an incredible glow up immediately, but I also started dating within two weeks. It didn’t mean that he wasn’t an abuser and that I was the bad guy. It simply means that I moved on when I was already in the relationship. This is a really bad take.
