En Chile lo común es compartir gastos de este tipo de cosas, incluidas las píldoras anticonceptivas cuando estás en una pareja estable (usualmente de alguna manera proporcional a los ingresos). Obviamente eso cuando las partes no usan los que se regalan en el sistema de salud público y, repito, que cuando es estable porque de lo contrario cada parte tiene que andar con sus herramientas.

i wanna talk about “invisible costs” to dating. are these really a thing? you talk about doing your hair up nice, using moisturizer, getting ready, etc… but 1) these things (and others) are not mandatory for dating & not everybody approaches them the same way, 2) looking good for your dates is probably not the only reason you are doing these things (these are just self care activities which make you feel better/more confident generally) and 3) men also do these things. men also want to look good for their dates, and who would want to go on a date with a man who doesn’t keep good personal hygiene, for example.
