🤣🤣🤣…. In this world, everyone is in that spot. Some go insane, some use alcohol, some drugs… there is no way to live in this world anymore without losing your mind.

Yes🙏 I think Switzerland is the best example, they hade a BIG problem with heroin in the 90’s and instead of putting people in jail over and over they started a state sponsored heroin clinic. So addicts would get their fix at the clinic and was able to live a normal life, what happend was that the addicts got better lifes, hade work and even started familys. So because their life got better most of them actually started to taper down their use and even stop using everything, now the have a very low rate of drug addiction

It’s created over time. It’s something we use to help us get ease and comfort from. It then becomes a habit that our brain wires as the best solution to turn to, in order to change and alter how we feel. If we were taught early enough how to deal with our emotions and feelings, we would possibly have had different outcomes

What about when addicts are actively abusing people? They should be held accountable for abusing people even if they are addicted to things. I’m always so confused on the lack of help and concern that victims of addiction get?

It’s basically true but in the same time when you’re actively in the loop, you need the consequences in order to wake up. Responsibility still remains in the individual anything else will just feed the disease. Blaming and shaming on the other half is just contradictive. You need to be hold accountable but also be pointed in a direction of recovery

Wow! I was thinking about this earlier today. Gabor Matè said ‘ Don’t ask why the drug ask why the pain’ I absolutely agree with you. We need to go within and ask why we can’t be present and sit with it.. reconnect with our inner child and love yourself like you do your children, best friend etc. and gradually, the drugs will become less and less.. whilst healing and looking at our own behaviour, journaling, counselling, EMDR and looking at ourselves with a critical lens, it’s very emotional work. whilst noticing the patterns that we can trace back to childhood ❤️
