@ayodele_babatola: I just passed another terrible accident again, this time involving a City Boy movement vehicle, somewhere around Ibadan. And it got me thinking… The consequences of bad governance don’t ask you which party you belong to. They don’t ask whether you’re a government critic or a government beneficiary. They don’t ask whether you work for government, support government, or have connections in government. When the roads are bad, when safety standards are ignored, when enforcement is weak, when emergency response isn’t where it should be — eventually, everybody feels it. And that’s the irony. Some of the people who directly benefit from the government of the day can still become victims of the same systems that millions of ordinary Nigerians complain about every day. So this isn’t about politics for me. It’s about a simple reality: If the system isn’t working properly, nobody is completely insulated from the consequences. Today, it could be someone else. Tomorrow, it could be you, your brother, your sister, your employee — or even someone working inside government. That’s why governance isn’t somebody else’s problem. It is everybody’s business.
