It’s crazy how she’s saying that everything women bring to the table, a man can just buy for himself—as if something being purchasable means it has no real value. But at the same time, she’s saying women expect men to buy them nice things, take them out, and give them experiences. Can’t all of those things be bought too? By that same logic, wouldn’t that mean those things aren’t really “bringing anything to the table” either? The argument kind of contradicts itself.

I mean… if we’re being honest, most men aren’t actually “providers” in that capacity. Most women work and provide those things for themselves. Unless a couple has specifically agreed to traditional gender roles, it’s usually just two self-sufficient adults choosing to build a life together lol. And dating is different. Women often have a lot of options, so some men choose to lead with money, dates, gifts, etc. to stand out. But nobody is forcing them to. If a man doesn’t think spending money on a woman is worth it, he absolutely shouldn’t. Find a woman who wants the same dating dynamic you do.

My husband is my best friend. We laugh until our stomach hurts. If he’s hurting, I rub his back. I hold his head and rub my hands through his hair. I make sure everything is straight in his life (doctor appts etc). I work a lot and I pay more of the bills (I make more money). I’m his biggest supporter and cheerleader. I organize his clothes and shoes. I make sure he eats and drinks water. He’s my other half

I don't think my husband's cleaned a toilet since he got married... I can count on one hand the number of times he's done it in 20 years. I plan Drs appts. vacations. I pack for him and kids. I make money also. I also rarely leave the house with less than one child. I could go on and on
