me and my boyfriend went to dairy queen. full of girl workers. we gave them like $50 dollars. our total was like $10. the girl gave us $70 and said here you go i don’t know how to count change and started laughing….wtf.

I once had to train a new hire 18 year old to look at the screen before counting change because he was giving everyone the same amount of change back. Apparently, he once paid with cash and got a certain amount back and assumed that cash was just this nebulous payment system and the amount he got back was like “the standard.” I had to say “then why are all the bills numbered differently?” And he said “well it all comes from the same place.” And… I just…

This happened to me when i asked for $20 in quarters at the bank… they proceeded to give me 6 rolls of $10 and i had to explain to them twice that each roll is $10 so you only need to give me 2 of those and not 6 and it took me two tries but they finally understood.

One time I was paying for plants at a local nursery and my change back was only 3 cents. The cashier did not know what 3 cents was. She looked at the girl next to her and pointed to the quarters she said no. Pointed at nickels. No. Dimes. No. Finally pointed to the penny and said yes and ASKED HOW MANY!!!?!? She literally did not know how to count 3 pennys!!!! 🤦♀️I was completely dumbfounded.
