CosmosPerceiver, 140 trillion Earth-oceans' worth of water, yet not a single sea. Just water vapor surrounding a voracious black hole twelve billion light-years away. The fact that so much water existed there so early on implies that oxygen and hydrogen had already combined into molecules. The water that makes up our bodies consists of the same substance. It is just that ours here is liquid, while theirs is vapor swirling around a devouring hole. Thus, the water within us and the water out there are one and the same substance. Knowing it existed so long ago fills me with humility. Thank you for sharing this perspective.
