@mach2models: Flames of War German Armor Update: Paint Modulation on the King Tigers Applying a lot of water with the brush, then let sit for a few minutes to soak thru the white paint to activate the hairspray beneath. I don’t do this amount of water on a 1/35 scale, but mass producing 55 tanks, I slap the water on and keep it moving. The hairspray allows for each modulation/chipping as it acts as a barrier. In this stage I’m modulating the paint to give an uneven worn effect. After clear coats and decals a light dusting of white will get applied over the top to blend everything together. Once applied, the thin top coat of white will still show shadows from the paint modulation below, hopefully achieving a better depth in the paint. Last but not least weathering will come at the end.
