@cbsmornings: Cornell University’s president said in a video statement Saturday that he welcomes an independent review of how the Ivy League school handled allegations by a woman referred to as Jane Doe that seven fraternity brothers sexually assaulted her in the fraternity house in 2024. “I can say with 100 percent confidence I was raped,” Jane Doe told Cornell police weeks after the assault in a sworn six-page statement. The district attorney has said that comment was not in the statement police submitted to his office. The district attorney’s office denied the opportunity to review additional statements during the initial police investigation, according to The New York Times. #cornell
