Second getting itemized bill and running it by chat gpt, we got charged for things that didn’t happen and it was my word against theirs but after they investigated and some back and forth they cut the bill in half by resolving that one issue. 🫠

They aren’t settling on 5k. They will eventually turn that over to collections if you don’t pay. But a quick search of public record and they will quickly find the value of your house and the mortgage you applied for. From this they can deduct your approx income. It’s not getting settled for you. That’s the truth

I would pay like only $10 a month to them just to stay out of collections. After months they might negotiate then cause it’s costing them more to track the debt. Snd you claim you don’t have more to send. And yes absolutely get an itemized bill and go over it

Don’t pay hospital bill. Tell them you are planning to get sick in next 10 years and you will pay it altogether

I’ve only been able to settle in collections but if it’s a for-profit hospital they prob won’t settle, non-profit hospitals usually will.

I got one to settle by saying I was gonna have to file bankruptcy because we didn’t have the money to pay it, then they brought up settling
