@pinknews: Lady Gaga has responded to makeup influencer Golloria after she called out the singer's makeup brand ‘Haus Labs’ for not being inclusive enough. TikToker Golloria George reviewed the Haus Labs new bronzer shade range, and criticized it for not including some of the deepest skin tones. In a follow up video, George revealed that she was reached out to via Gaga’s team, who requested she take down the review. This was due to concerns about an embargo they claim George was informed about, which she denies. George decided to reupload the review, and in her follow up video she expressed how she did not like how Gaga’s team handled the situation. She also went into more detail about the importance of inclusivity within makeup brands, saying, “brands that position themselves as the leaders of inclusion should be able to withstand honest feedback.” In response to Golloria’s video, Lady Gaga released a statement on the Haus Labs Instagram. She said it was “clear that the way the company initially handled that feedback was wrong” and that the team wants “to take full responsibility for our mistakes.” She went on to admit that the choice to launch the product with limited shades “was the wrong decision” and apologized for how the brand responded to Golloria. “I truly apologize to Golloria and the community for where we fell short.
