According to attorney Thomas Giuffra, who represents the woman identified in court as Jane Doe, his client has received multiple threats allegedly intended to pressure her into withdrawing her lawsuit. Giuffra says he has also received threats. The lawsuit contains serious sexual-assault allegations against the seven men. The allegations remain allegations, and the defendants are entitled to contest them in court. But threats and intimidation have no place in that process. The evidence should be examined, the claims challenged where appropriate, and the case decided through the legal system—not through attempts to frighten anyone into silence.
