@truechristianministry: I shared that we had talked about a debate and that he declined. That’s it. He has shared actual DMs in his own videos in the past, so I don’t understand how simply acknowledging that a debate invitation happened and was declined suddenly crosses some line. I also said that if he doesn’t feel capable of defending his position in a debate, then I don’t think he should turn around and make a video claiming the opposing doctrine is something “no Protestant can defend.” But again, he has made similar criticisms of other people when he believed they weren’t capable of defending the claims they were making. So something isn’t adding up. I’m supposed to believe that what I did was suddenly so egregious and “in bad faith” that he now refuses to debate me? I’ve watched him debate people who openly mock and insult him. I’ve watched him debate people who have shared DMs. He has shared DMs himself. He’ll debate people who mock him and mock his God, yet I never spoke disrespectfully about him. In fact, I repeatedly said that I genuinely like the guy and refused to make anything personal. We both profess faith in the Lord. But me simply telling people that I invited him to debate and he declined is where the line gets drawn? Yeah, something doesn’t add up. I think that regardless of whether or not Noah is aware of it, he’s being dishonest with himself. Like you pointed out, he’s debated numerous people, including ones who would actually disagree with him on much more, and yet won’t debate you. I believe that you make a super strong case for eternal security, so while i would love for you two to have a debate, or even just a formal discussion on it, he may be declining because he’s not completely confident in his position. You could change, or even just inspire, a lot of people to change their minds on this, which is why I think he’s inclined to say no.

I think if you look at JAWs channel you can easily see that his main focus right now is debating atheists and he’s doing very well. With that though it’s often hard to be sharp in both areas of debating, he’s probably not focused on Catholic vs Protestant debates rn and doesn’t want to misrepresent the Church in anyway.

it’s one thing to say you’re not ready or learned enough to have a discussion on a subject and that you need to study and talk about it. that’s completely reasonable and respectable. it’s another thing to turn right around and post a video saying nobody who believes that subject can defend their position. either you’re being dishonest and arrogant in your video or you lied that you’re not ready to talk about it
