There’s a difference. Ref has the power to flag the coach. What’s power does the coach or player have? With the uneven power dynamic there comes a sense of responsibility. Also it depends on what was said. Cursing and cursing out someone aren’t the same.

The NFL holds the players at a higher standard. Why not the referees I get it everybody’s human but that was a bad no call on that game
