@burtonbrinkca: Ten years ago today, Sergeant Steve Owen, a decorated veteran and friend from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Lancaster, was murdered by a parolee committing a burglary, a "non-violent crime" in California. This parolee was released from jail early due to then Governor Brown's implementation of AB109 and Proposition 47. It is imperative that we keep violent career criminals incarcerated, protecting our communities from these criminals. My wife Kim worked alongside Steve for many years.
