Apologies I left out the movie theatre hot dog. That’s what really tipped the scales.

I think it's time we adjust the idea of success… Success used to be having some large number in a savings account that you would never touch and a home with two or three cars on credit. Now I think it's being able to pay your bills and enjoy life just like you are knowing that in the flow of life money was spent but more money will be made.

The grocery store cashier and I were commiserating at how expensive life is and the boomer in line behind me thought to inject himself into the convo by telling us that’s why he lives in Mexico 6 months a year 🤨

I can't justify taking my kids to a pumpkin patch. Have to pay for parking, food trucks are expensive, nothing there is free. A pumpkin patch.

I went to the optometrist because my bi-annual $400 vision care benefit was available. I priced out a nice pair of progressives, with the blue light coating and a 2-year warranty and it was $1900. What in the actual?? This is for seeing. Literally seeing. And God forbid I look a little stylish. 2 years ago, a similar pair was $800. It’s absolutely everywhere.

it's crazy to me that these businesses don't seem to understand that if they charge more we'll buy less from them and then to recoup that, they charge even more.

I feel like an 80 year old at age 30 because these prices are ridiculous. When did you need to be upper middle class to do anything more than one out of the house activity once a month?
