You have a permit to do any of that work? Where I'm from, a shovel in the ground anywhere near, or construction overtop of a watercourse requires permits, construction documentation, and has strict guidelines. Sometimes DIY will get you in trouble, this is certainly one of those times if you didn't go about permitting and approvals properly.

if that creek raises with heavy rains it will definitely that. I tried over my creek. its not a long term option.
