I’m assuming that millionaires and billionaires are factored into the medium household income- let’s take a pool of say 100 secretaries at $50,000 apiece and let’s do an average of let’s say one billionaire. Looks like the average of all the secretaries.- they are millionaires! See where I’m going with this? We keep pushing the money upwards.

I’m 37, my wife and I are making more money than we have ever made in our life. But the thing is that our rent from when we got married was $600 a month to now $2150. Gas is $5 a gallon. Groceries are more expensive. Our power bill, for a 1 bed room 1 bath, was $460. It’s not about our household making more money, Ted. It’s about the fact that no matter how much we jump in salary, nothing is beating the cost of living. It’s suffocating.
