@extreme.crimes: Four-month-old Luna Babers had reportedly been cared for by her mother’s foster parents for most of her short life. On September 28, 2026, they dropped Luna off with her biological mother, 19-year-old Takiyah Babers, at the Pueblo del Rio housing complex in South Los Angeles. Just hours later, a woman taking out the trash noticed a black cloth bag inside a dumpster. Inside was a fully dressed baby girl. She initially thought the baby was a doll. Neighbors called 911 and attempted CPR before Luna was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. At first, authorities did not know who the baby was. The following morning, Luna’s family saw news reports about the unidentified infant. One detail immediately stood out: The baby had six toes on her left foot. So did Luna. The family went looking for answers. According to relatives, Takiyah initially said Luna was asleep. She later claimed the baby was with her biological father and reportedly showed the family a video as proof that Luna was safe. But relatives realized the video was old. They also noticed Luna’s car seat was still inside the apartment. Luna’s grandfather began sending photos of her to police and members of the media at the scene to determine whether the unidentified baby was his granddaughter. Investigators later arrested Takiyah. She has now been charged with murder and felony assault on a child causing death and is being held on $2 million bail. Takiyah has not been convicted, and authorities have not publicly announced a motive. Luna’s official cause of death has also not yet been publicly released. 🚩 RED FLAG REVIEW: When Luna’s family began asking where she was, the answers reportedly changed—and the video meant to reassure them only raised more questions. By then, the family had already seen one heartbreaking detail on the news that made them fear the unidentified baby was Luna. How do you even process recognizing your grandbaby from one tiny detail on a news report? #babyluna #TrueCrime #losangelescrime #CrimeTok #extreme
