@mauricionader: Chopin wrote the Raindrop Prelude for piano. Moving that music to solo electric bass changes almost everything physically, the technique, the resonance, the way harmony and melody have to coexist. But the emotional world of the piece still has to remain. That’s the part that interests me. Not simply making Chopin playable on bass, but finding a way for the instrument to communicate the music naturally. A different instrument.
