Yeah I would’ve recommended just going to the ER, there you would’ve gotten a x ray and a soft cast or splint. But because your going to the orthopedic surgeon they will take an x ray and splint of cast it, give you medication and schedule you for a follow up in like 4-6 weeks.

I broke my hand as a teacher during the night and urgent care wasn’t open and literally wasn’t able to go get an xray until the next day after working a full day and I was in so much pain all day sad that it’s so hard for teachers to take off
