By the way, people just sending a casual sticker doesn't help; long, thoughtful comments help much more. To everyone struggling: please hang in there. There is someone out there meant to be the person who holds you through those difficult nights; there is a better path ahead, even if it’s hard to see right now. Things will get better—you’ve probably heard that a thousand times and it gets annoying, but I promise that in a few years, once you’ve healed, it will just be a memory. If you have people you can write to—family or friends—you have reasons to stay. Take it one day at a time: have coffee with a friend, tear up a homework page you just can't wrap your head around, go out and enjoy the world at night when it’s quiet. You don’t need to prove your worth to someone who sees what you don’t see in yourself. You are more than just a daughter, a son, or a child; more than just a person. You are unique, with your own hobbies, life, sense of humor, skills, and interests. There is a better path ahead; don’t let yourself get derailed before you see it. I know it’s hard, but you are worth more than what you see in the mirror; you are worth more than the empty words that voice in your head constantly tells you. Your story isn’t over yet—and for a reason: because there is something better just out of reach, and you deserve to reach it. You are loved, even when it doesn’t feel like it. You are loved, even when you don’t want to hear it. You are enough—even with a failing grade or when you’re stretching your money to provide for your children. You are doing an amazing job, even if you can’t see it. I know it’s hard, but you are closer to the stars than those voices in your head will ever be. You are enough. You are loved.
