@creating.kev: Is launching your app on GOOGLE PLAY STORE worth it? Here’s the exact steps it took to get my app Cloey from ios to android 1. I built my app in react native which lets me use one codebase between android vs ios. So i thought this process was bouta be easyyy 2. First I needed a physical android device. Found one on facebook marketplace for $40 3. I had to build my first APK, Android Package Kit. This is a dev build you can install on your device. 4. setup the google play store app page. I had to fill out all the details and add the screenshots before I could even start my closed beta 5. Closed Beta Requirement: Minimum 12 testers, must stay opted in for the entirety for 14 days. Had to join testing groups on reddit to get enough users 😭 6. Production Application Form. Stupid short paragraph responses that somehow took 7 days to approve??? 7. App Build Submission: Final app submission was actually pretty quick. I think they dont check as deeply as apple store, but all the earlier requirements do all the filtering So was it worth it?? Right now we have ~50 android downloads and at the moment, 0 paid conversions… It’s not looking good for u android users. So download cloey and at least try a pro trial to give android users a better name 🙏 Will post a follow-up in 1 week lets gooo #solodeveloper #cloeyapp #playstore #androidapp #iosdev
Let me add this to your frustration, android users don’t like paying for subscriptions 😂 .

If the idea is good you have not problem getting 12 testers. I got 50 testers just with 4 posts on facebook and reddit in just 4 hours and opted in 30

bro am disappointed in you cause you don't have an android as a developer and view android phones as ancient. I need an explanation

Create an LLC on legal zoom, you can skip the whole internal beta testing track. Also, there are apps you can use to test your app with real hardware in the browser.

If your play console is under a LLC the 12 user thing isn’t mandatory

the 12 testers for 14 days rule is so rough for solo devs. did the reddit testers actually stay opted in the whole time?

Next time look at testerscommunity.com and it’ll sort the closed beta for you. Used it for 3 apps and they give you the feedback reports for the review after closed beta.

Thank God I was exempt from this process because I built apps for android when I was like 14 years old. so when I went to publish apps as an actual adult, I had already been exempted as an established developer from their new closed beta requirements and ish.

14 days only applies to self developers, if you have a business you don't have that restriction

It was actually the other way around for Terravela. Ios was a pain and android was like "u chill. approved" ios took 2 months initially because it kept on complaining about something
