And if he didn’t have money for the bail, he’d be sitting in jail right now. 30 days in jail with no real charges possibly could’ve lost his job and home. They need to be investigated. How many other people do they have sitting in jail because they don’t have money for bail with erroneous charges.

while i agree that a case should be prove able and winnable at time of charging...thats a good policy....if you cant do that within the legally mandated 72 hours....you cant keep him detained or under any conditions

Something similar happened to me. DA filed BS charges and I spent a year fighting for my life and they eventually dropped the charges. I lost everything that year fighting that charge in attorney fees and court costs. I walked over 4 hours
