my best advice is to go back to the books you enjoyed as a child. there’s no age limit on joy. go back and read harry potter, or percy jackson, or the twilight series, whatever it is that brought you joy as a kid, go back and read it. then go online and say what are books that are similar to this? then you find new yet similar books. JOY HAS NO AGE LIMIT!!!!!

I'm 25 and never read a book either, I'm very ashamed of it but I'm dyslexic and recently got diagnosed with adhd too, reading is always a struggle for me rather that a pleasure, I've tried countless times but it all became too frustrating ; hopefully one day I'll figure out how to enjoy it bc I really wish I could be a person that reads a lot lol

if you’ve never read hunger games, don’t read sunrise on the reaping. the reason sunrise (even though i actually heavily disliked it) is so impactful is because of the original trilogy
