to stop the unstabling, install small wheels where the brake pads was so that the rim presses against the wheels keeping it stable, then instal the brake disc. it will solve your problem, i think.

Brakes on the wheel hub wouldn’t work tho cuz the springs would almost create a delay and an inconsistency between your braking and the actual physical braking

take a shorter spring with some adjustable spring adjustments hook. will reduce the wobble in the wheel ones you are able to adjust the tightness of the springs on some places where there is a wobble

If you can support the wheel with two small bearings on both sides of the brake, then it will not move left and right anymore.

I think you need much stiffer springs, if you look at the tension that a spoke. Also, the uneven thinkness of your innertube because of the mounting method is an issue. But as an experiment, Cool!
