My mom needs to send me to Puerto Rico to be with my grandma and my family in the summer. It is completely normal to be sent with your family for a month or two.

I grew up in Michigan and my mother used to make sure she used to drop us off on the west side of Detroit on the weekends and school breaks to make sure we stay grounded so that we never forgot how fortunate we work people fail to realize she’s a Midwestern her mentality is different

I used to be at my gmas house every summer and that’s a nice way to have BOOT CAMP for cleaning and chores! Honestly best thing you can do cause sometimes kids don’t wanna listen to their parents but gmas and gpas.. they know!
