We don’t celebrate Halloween, instead we have a harvest party for our little to dress up we have candy sweets and pizza! It’s a great alternative. We celebrate it on a different day of October so our children don’t feel left out but nothing scary or Halloween related.

We are told to not indulge in worldly things. The part where we argue and justify saying we have good intentions with Halloween, that’s our flesh talking. It’s a crack for the enemy to work in your family even though you can’t see it. It’s a constant spiritual battle. Proverbs 13:20 says “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” We are influenced by those around us whether we see it or not. It is our job to deny the flesh and justifying things and seek Jesus. Halloween shouldn’t be something we try to justify
